Tuesday Night - Friday...

We spent Tuesday night, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday morning in search of the Monster Mule Deer in the desolate, barren, dirty, windy, dry, Utah mountains. Two nights of camping in this area...with me sitting alone all day (from 5:00am to 8:00pm) was not my favorite part of the trip. Chris had a great time hunting. He learned alot about Mule Deer hunting in the west which is much different than Whitetail hunting in the Midwest. He even got a good shot at a "Monster Mule Deer" but even with the help of about 10 guys tracking, he wasn't able to locate the deer. He thinks it was so big that the one shot will take awhile to kill him. The guys are going to keep looking, who knows, we may get a Monster Rack in the mail one day. Here's a picture of our camp and the hunting area...it was more miserable than it looks.

Then it was home from there...Beaver to Denver on Friday afternoon/night. Denver to home on Saturday. The drive on I-70 through Utah is amazing but we didn't stop for pictures, we were both getting a little homesick. We decided that the entire state of Utah should be a National Park...well, except for the places where we went hunting.

All in all, another wonderful vacation!
