Things I learned at today's Dr. Appt...

1. Amniotic fluid measurements are taken my measuring the largest pocket of fluid in each quadrant and adding those totals together. 5 - 25 CM is a normal range of fluid. Last week my fluid measured 26 cm, today it was 23 cm. Yeah - it went down!

2. Babies grow fast. Casper weighs 3 lbs 9 ozs today. That's an increase of 10 ozs in one week (there are 16 ozs in a lb). He's now in the 80th percentile. The doctor said that he's not big enough to expect that he will be a 10 pounder but he will definitely be out of the 6 lb range.

3. You can lose weight when you're pregnant, and sometimes it's a good thing. I lost 1 lb this week. I think it was because of the small adjustments I made to my diet in anticipation of the meeting with the dietician next week. The doctor was proud.

4. My baby is cute! And his foot is as long as my pinky (6 cm). He also knows how to stick out his tongue...see picture labeled Hi.
