Momma's gone.

I went to a conference for CASA (learn more at http://www.mocasa.net/) at the Lake of the Ozarks. When I got home, I found a card on the counter that said...While Momma's away, the boys will play. It had this picture on it...

Apparently, this was just a photo stunt...Chris was feeding Casper and saw turkeys in the backyard. He put Casper in the exersaucer and went to the window and shot the turkey. Then he got them both dressed up in camoflage and took the picture. Everytime I asked Casper if he went hunting with daddy he just laughed.

In addition to the conference, I enjoyed a little shopping at the outlet mall. I was looking for winter gear for Casper. Here he is in a couple of things I found...

I LOVE this hat and vest, even if the vest reminds me of Marty McFly...

This was my first overnight away from the baby and all in all I think I did pretty well. It was about 28 hours total and I didn't get too homesick. I almost didn't know what to do with myself without him to hold onto. I slept well :) Daddy did a great job but sounded a little tired. I think it was really hard for him to stay in the house for so long. He was outside as soon as I got home. In fact he went out turkey hunting for real...here's his trophies. In addition to the one earlier today, he got one this evening.
