Last weekend, thanks to inspiration from NBC's Who Do You Think You Are, I joined Ancestry.com and have spent many hours this week doing preliminary (unverified) research on my family trees.
It has been very exciting. Not only have I confirmed that I have many relatives who immigrated to America in the last 150 years, but I was surprised to find Civil War veterans and even an American Revolution Veteran! It really has changed my view of who I am, where I come from, and the struggles that my ancestors have dealt with.

Awww...you share my passion...I can spend so much time on there, I have to cut myself off or else it totally consumes me! Great, thanks now you've motivated me again!
