Live Like Your Nail Color

Today I listened to an audio recording of Mary Foley. Mary is a motivational speaker who teaches women to live Bodacious lives and to "Live Like Your Nail Color". The presentation was motivating and can be found at http://www.gobodacious.com/ if you're interested.

I think in general I live bodaciously...I do what's important to me, I treat myself well, but isn't there always a little room for improvement? Since lately my nail have been a french manicure or naked, I thought it was time to try a new color.

I love the names of O.P.I. polishes but didn't want to spend that kind of money...some O.P.I. colors I have had in the past include Changing of the Garnet, Bubble Bath, Calling All Goddesses, Wyatt Earple Purple and Kinky in Helsinki. Imagine living out those colors...of course the Goddesses one isn't a problem but I'll never think of Finland the same way...

So I went to Sally Beauty Supply and splurged on four new colors. I tried to pick them out by name only and not by color...there are alot of pinks in the world! Although the names weren't as fun as O.P.I., I did get Maple Syrup, Hue Are You, Art Deal of Fortune, and my current color, Buried Treasure. What's that say about me?

I'm sweet, I like to meet new people, I'm worth every penny and more, and deep inside there is something waiting to be discovered and set free. The interesting thing is, like Mary said, it's a risk to wear a color you wouldn't normally wear. Silver isn't a normal choice for me, but I picked it out for the name and everytime I look at it I think...what treasure is there left to discover...I can't wait to see what surfaces!

I love that you picked out the colors by name alone. Makes me want to go paint my nails! Awesome post, girl!
