Hola from Mexico

I thought you may enjoy some of our photos from the Chamber of Commerce trip to Riviera Maya, Cancun.

We had a good time with only a few disappointments. It was overcast and/or raining for the first two days we were there. On friday it was nice enough to lay on the beach but unfortunately there was an accident while we were down there - an elderly couple got caught in a rip current. Chris was able to swim out to help the woman and get her safely to shore while the life guard did not have the same luck with the man, who was further out in the water. Unfortunately, he didn't make it which was a huge bummer...I am continuing to pray for this woman who lost her companion of 15 years.

Needless to say, we didn't go for a swim in the ocean for the whole trip. We did take an excursion on Thursday to Tulum to see the Mayan ruins, thankfully it stopped raining shortly after we arrived. Saturday was beautiful but we left for the airport at 11:00 so we didn't get to enjoy it too much. Overall, it was very relaxing and we enjoyed our time together. How much more can you ask for a free vacation.
